Rigaletto, the 75kg Mastiff and his little buddy Junior

Woah! What an awesome shoot! We have a lot of amazing dogs come through our Perth Photography Studio, but Rigaletto has to be one of the biggest dogs we have seen throughout our many years of photographing pets. Rigaletto is a 75kg Mastiff, which are known to grow up to the weight of a whopping 100kg 😲! The pictures truly can't capture how huge Rigaletto is, but one thing we were able to capture is his calm temperament. He is such a placid and calm-natured animal, occasionally during the shoot he would just have a lay down in our lovely green grass of the 5 acre outdoor studio. Regaletto's owner, Leah, actually used to breed Mastiffs, meaning Regaletto was extremely well trained and made for a great model, especially for being such a huge dog he was happy to pose where needed.

Regaletto's best friend is Junior, an eleven year old Staffy cross. These two don't let the size difference get in the way of their friendship, with them happily running after a ball together while going for walks with their owners, Leah and Neil. Junior absolutely LOVES playing fetch, retrieving and shredding his squeaky toys. Jane managed to capture some truly stunning photos of Junior chasing the ball, but by far the picture that speaks a 1000 words is of Neil with pure panic on his face as he realised he threw the ball directly at Jane, with Junior determined to retrieve it (second last photo), thankfully Jane didn't get seriously hurt 😊

Neil and Leah came all the way done from Karratha to get their photos taken at our Perth studio, and we are so glad they did as we captured some truly stunning moments allowing them to remember them forever πŸ˜ƒ

Tioni, Craig and Axel

What a fun shoot! Axel, the American Staffy, looks big and tough although he is also an absolute goof making for a very enjoyable shoot. Axel is extremely ball orientated loving to run around fetching his ball, meaning that Jane the photographer was sneaky holding the ball near the lens to get his attention although sometimes the excitement would get too much and axel would come sprinting over to give kisses to the ball and often Jane stood in the firing line. The ball made for a great interaction shot between Axel and Craig- holding the ball up for Axel to jump for, highlighting his pure excitement and love for his toys. One thing Axel loves more than fetching balls and toys is mingling with other dogs. This social butterfly displayed his social abilities throughout the whole photo shoot not being scared to introduce himself to Jane and her assistant Tom with cute little Axel walking through the studio seeing what he could discover.

Craig and Tioni absolutely adore Axel and I can totally understand why after seeing his cute and goofy face. It is clear that they love their fur baby and he definitely loves them. Thanks for allowing us to capture the love between you all at our 5 acre Perth outdoor pet photography studio, it was a true honour.

Paddington the Labradoodle

This is Paddington, a one year old Labrador crossed poodle mixed with a huge amount of cuteness. You know how you have those people who you just enjoy being around, Paddington is essentially the dog equivalent. Ever since the minute Paddington cheerfully walked into our 5 acre outdoor Perth studio, he showed his friendliness not being afraid to have a cuddle, with Jane the photographer recieving a few during the shoot. Apparently it wasn't just because of Jane's huge love and skill with dogs, but Paddington's owner Tanita, says that he gets along with pretty much anyone.

Paddington absolutely flourished when he got a hold of his precious duck and cow squeaky toys, but a definite favourite was the stretchy rope, making for some awesome interactive photos.

James and Buddy

Introducing Buddy, the small but HUGELY charismatic dachshund crossed staffy. During the shoot Buddy's sweet rescue dog nature shined, acting so calm and placid even posing comfortably on the skateboard, although like any good dog a good walk helps to keep him happy and pleased. Buddy is all class wearing his stylish bow tie when going out to get portraits at our professionally painted graffiti wall, although rocking the comfortable and casual flannel shirt with his best bud James in our 5 acre outdoor Perth Studio.

James is Buddy's best buddy, enjoying each others' presence, making it such a fun and enjoyable experience. Both equally as cool as each other, making for some gorgeous photos as they hung out on the skateboard, chilling under the veranda.

It was such a pleasure having the Manuera family in, especially Buddy with his black, tan and white coat making for some stunning photos to be displayed in their home. Such a lovely family that made the shoot so enjoyable.

Holly and Jake...

Meet Jake! Jake was originally a successful pacer in his career going by the name 'Call me Lee' (race name). He now spends his time relaxing on 5 acres with his friend Bailey, enjoying the retired life. He has a lovely calm nature and is a great horse for people learning to ride.

Jake was so calm and relaxed while on the shoot at our Perth property. He even stopped to say 'Hi' to his reflection in the windows up at the main house. (He thought he had found another friend to play with). You could really see the bond he has with his owner, Holly.

As soon as Holly got on his back his eyes lit up with joy. What a privilege to photograph this beautiful animal.

Thanks for bringing Jake in, Holly! We think your photos are just incredible. We love that you chose a series of close-up detail photos along with the energetic riding ones and the traditional portrait shots too. You really got it all!
